Frequently asked questions
Do I need a background in science or technology?
Not at all. Curiosity matters more than credentials. Our volunteers come from all backgrounds, from engineering and biology to business, design, and communications.
Is volunteering paid? Are travel and accommodation covered?
Volunteering is unpaid, and travel and accommodation are not covered. However, you get a free Summit pass worth €500+, a full day to attend the talks, and the meals during your shift are on us, of course!
Do volunteers have access to the networking app?
The meeting app is reserved for pass holders, but volunteers still have plenty of chances to meet people. During your breaks or free day, you can visit the exhibition booths, join the informal networking areas, and meet speakers and attendees throughout the Summit.
Who can apply?
Anyone aged 18 or over who speaks English and can be in Amsterdam on 2-3 June 2027Â (or 1Â June 2027 if you want to volunteer at the Investor Day). Applications close on [date], and places are limited.
Can you help with my visa?
Yes. Once you’re selected, we’ll send you an official invitation letter confirming your volunteer role, the dates of the Summit, and our contact details, to support your Schengen visa application. Request it as soon as you’re confirmed, since visa processing can take several weeks. Visa decisions are made by the Dutch authorities, and visa costs are not covered.
