A tripartite incubation programme
To accelerate its revolution and play a key role in the transformation of the cosmetics industry, the L'Oréal Green Sciences Incubator develops a tripartite incubation programme between L'Oréal R&I, Genopole and your startup.
L'Oréal brings complete research teams, from advanced research to development, formulation and evaluations. Further collaboration is possible after the incubation programme: collaboration, co-development or investment.
Genopole is a biocluster located just south of Paris, in Evry-Courcouronnes, France. The incubation lasts 1 year and is renewable. Depending on your needs, it can range from an incubation on L'Oréal research sites to a full-time incubation on the Genopole innovation campus.
What are we looking for?
Innovative solutions for impactful collaborations in the following fields.
Sustainable biomass and nature
Sustainable production of marine or terrestrial biomass that preserves natural ecosystems, nature-based solutions for crop resilience and adaptation to climate change, and diagnostic and tracking solutions for biotope monitoring at scale.
Bio-circularity and carbon
Bio-circularity from agricultural, food and wood co-products or waste, carbon capture and utilisation to produce intermediates or cosmetic ingredients, and circularity from non-valorised industrial side streams.
Water quality and harvesting
Water filtration, including nature-based filtration, water purification, regeneration, recycling and upcycling, and water harvesting such as atmospheric harvesting for water stress areas.
Fermentation and green chemistry
Innovative fermentation processes, non-food fermentable raw materials accessible at scale and price-competitive with sugar, and emerging green chemistry processes such as non-ecotoxic solvents, mechanochemistry and electrochemistry.
